If your district is unable to roster with ClassLink, an API, or SFTP, you can share your roster data with Brisk Teaching through a simple Google Sheet. This will allow you to maintain control of your data throughout the year.
Getting Started
- Add Your Roster Data to a Google Sheet
Create a copy of our roster template and add your staff details. See below for details on what to add in each column.

- Receive Your Invitation to the Roster Portal
Reach out to our team rostering@briskteaching.com once your Google Sheet is filled out and ready. We will then send you an invitation to our roster portal.
You'll receive an email from noreply@us-east-1.rosterstream.com with a link to our rostering portal.
| ⏰ This invitation link is active for 7 days. If it expires, just email rostering@briskteaching.com and we'll send a new one. |
- Share Your Google Sheet with Brisk
Follow the instructions found in the roster portal to share your sheet with Brisk.
- Brisk Finalizes the Connection
After you've shared the sheet and saved the URL in the portal, email rostering@briskteaching.com to let us know you're all set. Our team will review your data, finalize the connection, and confirm via email when everything is live.
Next Steps
Updating Your Roster
As the school year goes on, you can make edits directly in your Google Sheet — adding new teachers, removing staff who have left, or updating user information. Changes will sync with Brisk overnight automatically.
If you need changes reflected right away, email rostering@briskteaching.com to request a manual sync.
Single Sign-On
Teachers will continue to use Google or Microsoft to SSO after rostering is complete. We will map user accounts based on email address and teachers' premium access will be tied to their roster-shared email.
| ⚠️ Note: Users who are not included in your roster data will lose premium access and revert to Brisk's free tier. Please ensure all intended users are included in your export files. |
Troubleshooting
Users you've marked as "administrator" in your sheet will have access to a rostering dashboard where they can check each school's sync status. This dashboard also includes a list of all teachers who have premium access through our roster connection.
