Use the Change Level tool to adjust text reading levels instantly. Brisk will analyze and rewrite the copy from a document or webpage.
- Start on the document or webpage you want to change the reading level of. We support most file types including Google Doc, Word Doc, PDF, and images.

Click on the Brisk Extension and choose 📖 Change Level.
📌 TIP: If "📖 Change Level" is unavailable, try opening the document within Google Drive / Microsoft OneDrive or clicking "📎 Upload" to open your document in Brisk's file viewer. -
It will show you the current reading level of the document or webpage. Choose the new grade level and click Change reading level
📌 TIP: If you see "Loading data" for more than a few seconds, no need to wait — you can go ahead and select "Change Reading Level" directly. -
Brisk will generate a new document with updated text aligned to your selected grade level. You can then edit the content further or add desired images before sharing with students.
📌 TIP: Change Level will preserve a document's original structure and tone. If you'd like to summarize content instead, try using "Create Anything" and prompt Brisk to change content to your desired reading level.
