How To: Inspect Writing

Use the Inspect Writing tool to watch a video playback of your students' writing processes, from copy/paste actions to their entire thought journey, to get a deeper understanding on how they work.

Note: We currently do not support other files types for Inspect Writing other than Google Docs and OneDrive Microsoft Word docs

How To: Inspect Writing in Google Docs
 

1. Start on the Google Doc your student worked on

    

2. Click on the Brisk Extension and choose Inspect Writing
    

   

    

3. Brisk will start replaying changes made in the document.
   
   Green text shows where students created text
   
   Yellow text shows where there were large copy/paste actions
   
   Red text shows where students deleted text

1. Start on the OneDrive Microsoft Word doc your student worked on

    

2. Click on the Brisk Extension and choose Inspect Writing
