Use the Inspect Writing tool to watch a video playback of your students' writing processes, from copy/paste actions to their entire thought journey, to get a deeper understanding on how they work.
Note: We currently do not support other files types for Inspect Writing other than Google Docs and OneDrive Microsoft Word docs
Take a look at our Brisk Bite to see Inspect Writing in action:
How To: Inspect Writing in Google Docs
- Start on the Google Doc your student worked on
-
Click on the Brisk Extension and choose Inspect Writing
- Brisk will start replaying changes made in the document.
- Green text shows where students created text
- Yellow text shows where there were large copy/paste actions
-
Red text shows where students deleted text
- You can adjust the playback speed, see when targeted feedback was left in the document, or when content was pasted into the document:
- 📋The clipboard icon appears where content was pasted into the document.
- 💬 The speech bubble icon appears where targeted feedback was given in the document.
-
⏩ The fast forward icon appears on your screen to show when typing paused in the document. This may appear many times over the course of the Inspect Writing playback.
