Brisk is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. Specifically, Brisk:
- Commits to meeting or exceeding WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a standard for its platform.
- Maintains formal conformance documentation — a VPAT / Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) — Documentation covers both the teacher-facing Brisk website and extension and the student-facing Brisk Boost extension.
- Works with a third-party accessibility auditor to conduct regular audits and identify areas for improvement.
- Tests new features for accessibility as part of ongoing development, so the platform stays in conformance as it evolves.
How Brisk supports accessible learning
Beyond its own platform conformance, Brisk gives educators tools that help make instructional content more accessible to diverse learners:
- Change reading level — Adjust the reading level of any article or document so materials meet students where they are.
- Translate and create in 50+ languages — Produce and translate materials to support multilingual learners.
- Structured, clean document output — Brisk generates well-organized documents (clear headings and readable text) that work well with screen readers and text-to-speech tools students already use.
- Audio support in Boost — In Boost activities, the Boost chat can be read aloud, which supports students who benefit from hearing content.
