How to set up the Boost Extension for Students

IT administrators can follow the instructions below to enable the Boost Extension for students. This is a different extension than the one used by teachers, and is only available to Schools & Districts that have purchased this feature. 

Installing the extension on student devices

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console using your administrator account. 
2. Go to Devices > Chrome. 
3. Select Apps & extensions. 
4. Click Users & browsers. 
5. Select the Organizational Unit you want to deploy the extension to. 
6. Click the + button in the bottom right and select one of the following 
   1. Add Chrome app or extension by ID and Enter the extension ID (pdldjapecechflnpdgpeiklnbigamggl) and leave the setting at From the Chrome Web Store. 
   2. Add by URL, and enter this URL https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/brisk-boost/pdldjapecechflnpdgpeiklnbigamggl
7. Click Save

Ensuring that students can access Boost Activities from their devices

1. Whitelist the domains outlined in this document
2. Configure the Brisk Boost application:
   1. Go to admin.google.com
   2. Click on Security > API Controls > App Access Control
   3. Click on “Configure new app” and search using this ID: 298365083840-pe6epp7eohftvjpgcpuag3kjefbtm253.apps.googleusercontent.com
   4. Add Brisk Boost as a Configured App and provide permissions/access to it for your student organizations
