IT administrators can follow the instructions below to enable the Boost Extension for students. This is a different extension than the one used by teachers, and is only available to Schools & Districts that have purchased this feature.
Installing the extension on student devices
- Sign in to your Google Admin console using your administrator account.
- Go to Devices > Chrome.
- Select Apps & extensions.
- Click Users & browsers.
- Select the Organizational Unit you want to deploy the extension to.
- Click the + button in the bottom right and select one of the following
- Add Chrome app or extension by ID and Enter the extension ID (pdldjapecechflnpdgpeiklnbigamggl) and leave the setting at From the Chrome Web Store.
- Add by URL, and enter this URL https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/brisk-boost/pdldjapecechflnpdgpeiklnbigamggl
- Click Save
Ensuring that students can access Boost Activities from their devices
- Whitelist the domains outlined in this document
- Configure the Brisk Boost application:
- Go to admin.google.com
- Click on Security > API Controls > App Access Control
- Click on “Configure new app” and search using this ID: 298365083840-pe6epp7eohftvjpgcpuag3kjefbtm253.apps.googleusercontent.com
- Add Brisk Boost as a Configured App and provide permissions/access to it for your student organizations
