- Can I Boost a PDF?
- Yes! You can use the Upload button from the Brisk extension to upload a PDF, which you can then Boost.
- How do I get the student facing extension for feedback?
- The student facing extension is part of the Brisk for Schools & Districts plan. You can schedule a demo or view this resource comparing the two Boost options.
- How can I tell if my student is engaging inappropriately?
- Brisk will alert teachers with a red flag when a student shares inappropriate language or content with Boost.
- As a teacher you can see all of your students’ conversations with Boost. From an activity that you have assigned to students, click “View” next to the student whose chat you want to view. From there, you can see your student’s chat history with Boost.
- My students didn’t finish their work. Can Brisk Boost save in progress conversations?
- Boost saves progress in conversations if they are signed in with their email. With emailless login, students could lose their work if they don’t stay signed into Boost on the same device.
- My students don’t have Google emails. How can they use Boost?
- When you create a class, you can select whether students access activities with Email, or Name Only login. Note that with Name Only login, students need to stay logged in to Brisk to return to their activity and access their past activities. (This may be impacted if they clear their cache/cookies. We recommend using emails if possible to make sure students retain their access.)
- Is there a way for the teacher to add students to the class before sharing an activity link?
- Not at the moment, unless you are part of a District that uses our rostering tool. Teachers need to share a link to enroll students.
- The learning objectives and chat don’t match the content of the resource I’m using
- YouTube – make sure the video has a thorough transcript (you can click Show Transcript in the video description). If it doesn’t try picking another video on the topic.
- Web page – see if you can create other resources about this web page with Brisk. If not, there may be some technical issues with our ability to read the website. Please report a bug.
- Google Docs should always be a safe option, so you can copy and paste any material or write a quick blurb on a topic in a Google Doc and Boost from there.
