The Brisk teacher extension has a new look and Create experience. Visit our article on How to create with the new Brisk
- To create something with Brisk, describe what you need in the prompt box.
- Brisk asks clarifying questions before generating your material.
- Make adjustments afterward in plain language without starting over.
Give Feedback, Inspect Writing, Change Level, Boost Activities, and Get Teaching Ideas work the same way they always have—they just live inside the updated look.
What’s changed in the new Brisk
Brisk has a new look and experience when you use Create. Here is what’s changed:
What’s been improved for the new Brisk
-
Start by typing what you need: You no longer need to click through menus to find a tool to create with Brisk. Instead, type what you're looking for into the prompt box ("exit ticket," "differentiate for ELL," "quiz on fractions") and Brisk finds the right tool directly to you.
-
Attach multiple files and attach from Google and OneDrive: You can attach more than one file to a single Create request. Upload links, documents, images, and files directly from your Google Drive and OneDrive.
-
Refine your content before Brisk makes it: Brisk will ask you a small number of questions about the material before it generates. You can select your answers, type a custom response, or skip.
-
Curriculum Intelligence: For schools and districts using Curriculum intelligence, select your curriculum when creating materials to align them with the unit or lesson you’re teaching. Learn more about Curriculum Intelligence with Brisk.
-
Switch between the classic and new Brisk. You can toggle between the classic and the new Brisk at the top of the extension pop-up. This option will be available for the rest of 2026.
What’s unavailable in the new Brisk
-
Selecting multiple grades and multiple languages at the same time: Selecting multiple grades and multiple languages for materials is currently unavailable when creating with the new Brisk. They are still available to use in the classic Brisk.
-
Creating multiple tools at one time: The new Brisk does not support creating multiple tools in one go. You can still create bundles in the Brisk web experience.
-
Brisk Streaks: Brisk streaks have been removed from the new Brisk extension.
What's unchanged in the new Brisk
Give Feedback, Inspect Writing, Change Level, Boost Activities, and Get Teaching Ideas work the same way they always have—the interface just looks new.
You can select what you want from the Brisk extension menu, add the relevant settings, and go.
The Brisk web experience and the Student Boost Extension have not changed.
Switching between classic Brisk and new Brisk
For now, you can still toggle back and forth to the classic and the new Brisk. When you open the teacher extension, select Classic or New.
Your school or district may have opted out of the ability to toggle back to the classic Brisk—ask your school leader for additional information if needed.
