Please note that Batch Feedback is still in Beta! That means that you may notice changes frequently as we improve and expand the feature, and occasionally you may encounter a bug. We will do our best to keep this document up to date as changes are made.
- If you have questions, email hello@briskteaching.com
- If you have feedback, please fill out this Google Form
You can still give feedback to individual students using the Give Feedback button in the Brisk extension! Follow the steps below if you want to give feedback to multiple students at once.
Teachers can choose from 3 main feedback types: Glows & Grows, Next Steps, and Rubric Criteria. Like grading on individual student submissions, teachers will have the choice to add a rubric, select standards and grade levels, and indicate focus areas for feedback.
Importing Files
- Click on the Home icon in the Brisk extension, then click the Batch Feedback tab
-
Select the Import Student Work dropdown in the upper right and choose Google Drive or Google Classroom
-
Choose your folder of materials then click Select.
-
Review the selected essays and remove any you don't want to give feedback on by clicking the X. Then click Select Class.
-
Select a class or add a new class, and give your assignment a name. Then click Choose Feedback Style.
-
Choose your feedback style, then click Add Feedback Focus.
-
Make selections for grade level, standards (optional), language, rubric upload (optional), and type in what you’d like the feedback to focus on. Then click Create Assignment.
-
Once you generate feedback, the status will change from In Progress to Completed. Then your feedback is ready to view.
- 💡 Pro tip: if the assignment is untitled, click on it to rename)
- From this page you can also View Rubric to see the rubric you uploaded, see which submissions you have already approved the feedback for, and Edit Focus of the feedback.
-
Note: Teachers cannot approve feedback from the main page. We require that teachers view feedback directly before approving it!
- You can click on an individual assignment to view the feedback for each student, and insert the feedback in their document. This is also where you can choose to approve the feedback using the checkbox at the top, choose to refresh the feedback, or delete the submission. Use the arrows to move between submissions.
